Himalaya Potato Research & Development Center has been dedicated to growing, sustaining, and promoting the potato sector in Nepal since its foundation, and has established its own potato farm. The research center is conducting a commercial potato feasibility study on an area of 1200 ropani land with the goal of creating self-sufficient and sustainable potato practices in Nepal. The research center has been generating 25 tons of potatoes per hectare land mass each year and is undertaking research on potato productivity, potato production and growth, and product marketability.
